    Movie Review

Here's a "must see" movie for those of you who love a compelling story line, beautiful cinematography, and superb acting. This movie will make you cheer and it may make you cry. Stacy and I give this film 2 thumbs up! I'm pleased that Hollywood could produce such a well made film that is safe for the entire family. Way to go Walt Disney!

    Let's Ride!

Earlier this week Nana and Grandpa took the girls to a local stable for some riding lessons. Hope and Jenna learned how to brush and saddle a horse, clean its shoes, put on a bridle, and how to mount their horse. They spent one and a half hours learning to ride English style and absolutely loved it! The owner of the stable told us that they were very quick learners and that they would make wonderful students if they lived closer. Maybe some day. We have three days left of vacation before we head back to Japan. It's been a very fun vacation.

    Family Vacation 2006

Our family is enjoying some wonderful California sunshine during the first leg of our three week vacation. The girls are having a wonderful time enjoying their grandparent's swimming pool with their cousins Ellie, Amy, Lexi, and Riley. Stacy is enjoying shopping at American stores with her sister in law Debbie while Paul is all about reading and running. We plan to spend another week here in Placentia, CA visiting with family and friends before flying to Maryland where we will spend another nine days with Paul's family on Kent Island. We would appreciate your prayers for traveling mercies. Thank you!

    In Christ,

Francis Schaeffer - Character of Love

The Christian really has a double task. He has to practice both God's holiness and God's love. The Christian is to exhibit that God exists as the infinite-personal God; and then he is to exhibit simultaneously God's character of holiness and love. Not his love without his holiness: that is only compromise. Anything that an individual Christian or Christian group does that fails to show the simultaneous balance of the holiness of God and the love of God presents to a watching world not a demonstration of the God who exists but a caricature of the God who exists.

According to the Scripture and the teaching of Christ, the love that is shown is to be exceedingly strong. It is not just something you mention in words once in a while.

    Japan Needs Your Prayers!

Would you consider dedicating just a few minutes each day during the month of June to pray for the spiritual needs of Japan? Over the last two and a half years, we have become increasingly aware of just how great the spiritual darkness is here in this country. Japan is a nation given over to idolatry (Buddhism and Shintoism), agnosticism, secularism, and gross materialism. Over 120 million lost souls living without truth, without hope, without Christ. Please click the link below for a helpful list that will provide you with a daily prayer item for each day of the month. Thank you!
