This is the secret of true prayer, of true power in prayer, of real, living, face to face fellowship with God, and of power for service. there is no true, deep conversion, no true, deep holiness, no clothing with the Holy Spirit and with power, no abiding peace or joy, without being daily alone with God. What an inestimable privilege is the institution of daily secret prayer to begin every morning. Let it be one thing that our hearts are set on.

 

 

 

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family members of those who lost their lives in the tragedy that unfolded this day at Virginia Tech. We also pray for those who are in serious or critical condition at local hospitals and for the staff and student body at VT. Lastly, we pray for the people of Virginia and ask that God would grant His people grace and mercy in their hour of need. 

 

 

 

On April 8th, 2007, the weather could not have been more beautiful here in Yokosuka, Japan. The sun was shining, the cherry blossoms were in full bloom, and there was a gentle breeze coming from Tokyo Bay keeping the temperature just right. After attending the Easter service on base, with over 780 people in attendance, we hosted approximately 60 individuals at the Lighthouse for our annual Easter brunch. The food and fellowship were wonderful and we were blessed to be able to welcome several first time visitors to the ministry center. Later that evening, a group gathered in our living room to watch the "Jesus Film" which served as a powerful reminder of what this special day is really all about. All in all, it could not have been a more perfect day to celebrate our risen Lord!
